Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about converting 3D models for FiveM.

GLB (GL Binary) is the binary version of the glTF 2.0 format — the industry-standard open format for 3D models. It packages geometry, textures, animations, and materials into a single file. GLB files are exported by Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Sketchfab, and most 3D tools.

The converter outputs a complete FiveM prop resource containing: a YDR drawable model, a YTD texture dictionary, a YTYP archetype definition, a YBN collision mesh, and a fxmanifest.lua. Simply drop the folder into your server resources and the prop is ready to spawn.

No. The conversion runs entirely in the cloud. You only need a web browser. No Blender, CodeWalker, OpenIV, or any other desktop tool is required.

Yes — basic conversions are completely free with no login required. For higher-quality output, batch processing, or API access, check out SwisserAI premium plans.

Currently we support GLB (glTF Binary). Support for OBJ, FBX, and BLEND files is coming soon. You can convert those formats to GLB first using Blender or any online 3D converter.

Most models convert in under 60 seconds. Larger or more complex models with many textures may take up to 2-3 minutes. You will see real-time progress updates during the conversion.

What is a GLB File?

GLB (GL Binary) is the binary container format for glTF 2.0, the open standard for 3D models maintained by the Khronos Group. Unlike the multi-file glTF format, GLB bundles everything — geometry, textures, materials, and animations — into a single binary file.

GLB is the most widely supported 3D interchange format. It's exported by Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, and available on platforms like Sketchfab, Turbosquid, and CGTrader.

What are FiveM Resources?

FiveM is a multiplayer modification framework for GTA V that lets you run custom servers with custom content. A FiveM “resource” is a folder containing game-ready files that your server loads.

For 3D assets, a resource includes model files (.yft), texture dictionaries (.ytd), metadata XML files, and a manifest (fxmanifest.lua). Without a converter, creating these from a standard 3D model requires Blender, CodeWalker, OpenIV, and hours of manual work.
