Your first animation

Before you start

• A clip of one person, head to toe in frame, 2 to 20 seconds, as MP4 or MOV. See Recording a good clip.
• A SwisserAI account. The first animation is free, after that 750 credits or more.
• Access to your FiveM server files and its server.cfg.

The six steps

We turn a 10-second dance clip into an emote called hip_hop_step. The same flow works for any clip.

   Open AI Animations

   In the sidebar open Animations. Press New animation at the top right. N opens it too.

   Choose your clip

   Drop the video on the dialog or press Choose a clip. The checklist under the drop zone shows what makes a clip work; hover a point to see why.

   Choose quality and add-ons

   The dialog reads the clip and shows the options. Take Premium if the camera moves or the motion is fast, otherwise Basic is enough. Tick Seamless loop for a dance that should repeat; it is free.

   Name it and generate

   The name becomes the chat command and the name of the animation in game. It starts as the file name. Check the price next to the button, then press Generate.

   Check the result

   The page follows the job through its stages. Most animations are ready within about five minutes. Then the rigged preview plays the result on a GTA ped, next to your source clip.

   Install and play it

   Download the In-place version. Make a folder hip_hop_step in your server's resources, unzip the download into it and add one line to server.cfg:

   ensure hip_hop_step

   Restart the whole server, not just the resource. In game, type the command in chat:

   /hip_hop_step
