Files and versions

The file panel

The file panel of an AI Script Generator project lists every file of the resource in its folders. Click a file to open it in the editor next to it; open files become tabs.

Right after a run, the files it touched carry a mark with the number of added and removed lines. The Diff button in the editor then shows exactly what changed in the open file.

Editing a file yourself

Every file can be edited in the editor. Ctrl+S saves, and a file also saves when you click elsewhere. A dot on the tab marks unsaved changes.

The assistant always works with the saved files, so your own edits are kept when you ask for the next change.

Adding and uploading files

The buttons at the top of the file panel:

• Multi-select

  Tick several files and remove them with Delete selected.

• Upload Files

  Add files from your computer.

• Upload Folder

  Add a whole folder with its structure.

• Add File

  Create a file with a path, for example server/bank.lua, and paste or write its code.

You can also drop files onto the file panel.

Making room for the code

The chat takes most of the width at first. Drag the thin line between the chat and the file panel to the left to give the editor more room. Collapsing the app sidebar gives more space as well.

Going back to an earlier version

The AI Script Generator keeps a version of your project for every change the assistant makes. Open History in the project header to see them.

Restore this version brings the whole project back to that state. Use it when a change went too far, then ask again with a more precise request.
