Installing on your server

Download the zip, put the files in a resource folder, run the SQL if there is one, and start it.

Download the zip

Export in the header of an AI Script Generator project downloads every file as one zip. The number next to it is the number of files. The zip is named after the project, the framework and the date, for example speed-cameras-QBCore-2026-09-28.zip.

  1. 1. Export · 6: downloads all files as a zip

Install the resource

The zip holds the files of the resource without a folder around them. That speed cameras project unpacks like this:

fxmanifest.lua
config.lua
client/main.lua
server/main.lua
sql/install.sql
README.md
  1. 1

    Create the resource folder

In your server's resources directory, create a folder with the project name, for example resources/[local]/speed-cameras. The folder name is the resource name.

  2. 2

    Unzip into it

fxmanifest.lua must sit directly in that folder, not one level deeper.

  3. 3

    Add it to server.cfg

Add one line with the folder name, after the resources it depends on:

    ensure speed-cameras

Note

The README.md of a project can suggest its own folder name. Any name works, as long as the folder and the ensure line match.

Database tables

When a resource stores data, the AI Script Generator adds an SQL file, usually sql/install.sql. Import it once into the database your framework uses, with HeidiSQL, phpMyAdmin or the mysql command line, before the first start.

Without it, the resource starts but fails on the first query with an error that a table does not exist.

Dependencies

fxmanifest.lua lists what the resource needs under dependencies. The speed cameras need qb-core and oxmysql; the README adds scripts it talks to, such as qb-phone. Make sure each of them is installed and started before your resource in server.cfg.

Start and test it

Restart the server, or start the new resource from the server console without a restart:

refresh
ensure speed-cameras
  • Server console or txAdmin: errors from server/ files.
  • F8 console in game: errors from client/ files.
  • README.md in the project: the commands, config options and events of this resource.

After changing the project, export again, replace the files and run ensure speed-cameras once more. If something fails, paste the error into the chat. See Fixing errors.
