FAQ

Short answers to what people ask most about the extension and the API.

Questions

Is the extension free?

Installing it is free. Tasks use the credits of your SwisserAI account, and the same request costs fewer credits than in the website chat. See What it costs.

Does the extension send my code anywhere?

Only what the agent reads for your task goes to SwisserAI. It reads only after you approve, unless you turned on auto-approve for reading. The extension talks to one service, the SwisserAI API. Files in .swisseraiignore are never read.

Does it work with ESX, QBCore and Qbox?

Yes, and with standalone resources. It reads your resources to see which framework they use. A rule saves it the guessing.

Can I use it offline?

No. Every step is a request to SwisserAI, so the extension needs an internet connection. Your files stay on your machine.

Does it work in Cursor or Windsurf?

Not from their extension search yet: those editors use a different store where SwisserAI is not listed. Use VS Code, or OpenCode in a terminal next to any editor.

Can it start or restart my server?

It can run terminal commands you approve, so it can start scripts on the machine it runs on. It cannot type into the console of a running FiveM server. Restart resources yourself with ensure.

Can I use it on two computers?

Yes. Each editor gets its own key, and all of them use the same account and credits.

Can it open my projects from the website?

Not directly. Export the project from the AI Script Generator as a zip or push it to GitHub, then open that folder in VS Code.

Can I write tasks in German, Spanish or another language?

Yes. Write the task in your language; the agent answers in it. Code and comments stay in the style of your files.

Where do I get help?

Ask in the SwisserAI Discord or use Report an issue. Include what you typed, what the agent did and any error text.

Something missing? The troubleshooting page covers error messages one by one.

Tip: the version of your extension is the small badge at the top of the chat, for example v0.1.1.
