Troubleshooting

Most problems come from the streaming rule, a missed full restart or the wrong ped. Start at the top.

The items do not show up

When an EUP Maker pack is installed but the items never appear, go through these in order:

  • Streaming rule. The server needs a Cfx Element Club Argentum key or higher, or sv_maxclients 10 or less. Without it no custom clothing streams. See the streaming rule.
  • server.cfg. The ensure line must match the folder name exactly, including _clothing.
  • Full restart. Restart the whole server, then reconnect. A resource restart is not enough for clothing.
  • Test command. Type /trypack. If it says the items were applied but nothing changes, read the next section.

Nothing changes on my character

EUP Maker items are made for the freemode peds: mp_m_freemode_01 for male and mp_f_freemode_01 for female. On any other ped model, or on the other gender, the item does not show.

In a clothing menu, also check that you picked the new number at the end of the slot. With Replace packs, select the same garment as before; the menu has no new entry.

Other players still see the old clothes

Players who were online during the install keep the old files. They see the new clothing after they reconnect.

A Replace pack changes nothing

A Replace pack on a garment from a GTA Online update needs a server game build that includes the update. Add the sv_enforceGameBuild line from the README to server.cfg, or rebuild the pack as Addon, which works on every build.

The build failed or does not start

  • The button is greyed out. Either the pack is empty or your balance is below the price; the text under the button says which.
  • Credits bought, still greyed out. Reload the page once so the studio sees the new balance. Your designs are lost on reload, so add them to the pack first and build from there, or keep the tab open while you buy credits in a new tab.
  • The build failed. You are not charged. Open the pack in My packs and start it again, or report it from that page.
  • A very large pack. Many garments with many variants take a while to upload. Keep the tab open until the pack page opens.

The design looks blurry or misplaced

  • Blurry lettering or logos. Build with 2048, and use a logo image that is at least as large as it appears on the texture.
  • Text on the wrong side or upside down. Parts of the texture can be mirrored or turned. Click the spot on the 3D preview to see where it sits on the texture, and check the preview before you build.
  • Colour on the arms or legs. The garment includes skin. See Textures with skin.

Players crash when loading clothes

Crashes while loading a character usually come from the total amount of clothing or from two resources that clash. Remove clothing resources one by one to find the cause. Very large clothing collections also slow down loading for everyone.

Combining your packs into one resource with the free EUP Merger removes name clashes between them.

Still stuck

Use Report a problem at the bottom right of the pack page, so we see the pack you mean, or ask in the SwisserAI Discord. Mention the pack name and what you see in game.
