Short answers to what people ask most about the 3D Generator.
General
Do I need a subscription?
No. Builds cost credits, and any credits work.
Is the first model free?
Most new accounts get their first Low build free. The Low card in the dialog then shows 1x free. After that a Low build costs 100 credits and a Medium build 1,500.
Can it make maps or buildings?
No. It makes single objects. For walk-in rooms use the Interior Builder.
Can it make characters or clothing?
No. Peds and clothing need rigged models, which the 3D Generator does not make. For uniforms and clothing designs use the EUP Maker.
Can I describe the object instead of uploading a photo?
Not in the 3D Generator. Make a picture with the Image Generator and use Turn into a 3D prop on it.
Files
Do I need the YTYP?
Yes. It tells the game the model name. Without it the prop does not load.
Can I get just one YDR file?
Choose Single YDR under Packaging. Textures and collision then sit inside the YDR, and only the YTYP comes with it.
Can I edit the model in Blender?
Yes. Download GLB Model from the download menu and open it in Blender or any other 3D tool.
Does it work in single player?
The props are built for FiveM. The YDR, YTD and YTYP are standard GTA V files, so experienced modders can add them to single player themselves, but we do not support that.
Credits and sharing
Can I get a refund for a result I do not like?
Failed and canceled builds are never charged. For a finished build that went wrong on our side, use Report a problem on the build page. A better photo is the most reliable way to a better model; try it on Low first.
Who can see my props?
Only you, unless you share a prop with the community. Sharing can be undone with Unshare on the result page.
