Troubleshooting
Most problems come from the photo, a missed restart or a stray part. Start with what you see.
The build failed
A failed 3D Generator build costs nothing: credits are only charged when a build finishes. The build page shows the error. Start a new build with the same photo; if it fails again, use Report a problem on that page so we see the build you mean.
The build seems stuck
The build page shows every stage, the time so far and the usual time for the tier. Low usually takes one to two minutes, Medium about three and High four to six. You can close the page; the prop lands in Assets when it is done.
If a build stays far past the usual time on one stage, Cancel it and start again. A canceled build costs nothing.
The model does not look like the photo
A model that does not match the picture almost always comes from the picture itself:
- Several objects or a person in the picture merge into one shape.
- A busy background becomes part of the model.
- A small object in a wide shot comes out soft and lumpy.
Crop the photo to the object, use a plain background and try again. Choosing a photo has the details. Try an unclear photo on Low first, before you spend credits on Medium or High.
Extra floor, background or floating bits
Pieces that are not part of the object, such as a floor plate, a sheet of paper or a floating chunk, come from the background of the photo. Cut them away with Remove unwanted parts on the result page and save the cleaned prop. See Removing unwanted parts.
My edits are not saved
Changes in the editor are only a preview until you press Rebuild in the bar at the top. The rebuild is a new version with its own page and its own entry in Assets; the original stays unchanged. Download the new version to get your edits.
The prop does not show in game
- Resource not started. The
ensureline must match the folder name. Check the server console for an error on start. - Files missing. Keep all files of the
streamfolder together, including the YTYP, and keep thefxmanifest.lua. - Wrong name. Spawn it with the exact model name, the name you gave the prop in lowercase with underscores.
- Only a grey default texture. With separate files the textures live in the YTD. Keep the YTD next to the YDR, or build with Single YDR.
Not enough credits
The dialog footer shows the price of the selected tier and your balance. When credits are short, the tier card says how many are missing and Create asset stays grey. Pick a cheaper tier or use Get credits.
Still stuck
Use Report a problem at the bottom right of the build page, so we see the prop you mean, or ask in the SwisserAI Discord.
