Start
Your first prop
From a photo to a prop on your server in six steps. The build itself takes a few minutes.
Before you start
- A SwisserAI account. A Medium build costs 1,500 credits, a Low build 100, and your first Low build is usually free.
- A clear photo of one object on a plain background. See Choosing a photo.
- Access to your FiveM server files and its
server.cfg.
The six steps
We turn a product photo of a road barrier into a prop. The same flow works for any object.
- 1
Open New asset
In the sidebar open Assets. This page lists everything you built. Press New asset, or
Non your keyboard.- 1. New asset: opens the dialog
- 2
Add a photo and a name
Keep Image to 3D selected and drop your picture on the dashed area, or click it to choose a file. Then give the prop a name. The name becomes the model name in game, so use lowercase letters and underscores, such as
road_barrier.- 1. Source image: your picture, as it will be used
- 2. Name: becomes the model name in game
- 3. Price and balance: for the tier you picked
- 3
Pick a tier
Medium is selected and fits most props. Keep World prop for things placed around the map. The other settings can stay as they are; Build settings explains each one.
- 1. Quality: Low, Medium or High, price in credits
- 2. World prop / Hero object: sets the triangle and texture budget
- 3. Low poly: optional, with a triangle budget
- 4
Create the asset
Press Create asset. The build page opens and follows every stage live. You can close it; the build keeps running and the prop lands in Assets. A Medium build usually takes about three minutes.
- 5
Check the model
When it is done, the page turns into a 3D editor. Drag to look around. The strip at the top shows the size in metres. If something is off, fix it here; Checking and fixing the model shows how.
- 1. FiveM .zip: the ready resource
- 2. Model stats: triangles, size in metres, grid
- 3. Remove unwanted parts
- 4. Select, Rotate, Scale, Paint: edit tools
- 5. Show size: a person or object for scale
- 6
Download and install
Press FiveM .zip. Make a folder named after the prop in your server's
resourcesdirectory, unzip the download into it, and add the folder toserver.cfg:ensure road_barrierRestart the server. To see the prop, spawn it by its name, for example from a client script:
local model = `road_barrier` RequestModel(model) while not HasModelLoaded(model) do Wait(0) end local ped = PlayerPedId() local pos = GetOffsetFromEntityInWorldCoords(ped, 0.0, 2.0, 0.0) local obj = CreateObject(model, pos.x, pos.y, pos.z, true, false, false) PlaceObjectOnGroundProperly(obj) SetModelAsNoLongerNeeded(model)
