Build settings

Quality tier, usage, texture size and packaging decide how detailed the prop is and how its files land in your resource.

Quality tiers

The 3D Generator offers three tiers. They differ in how detailed the shape and the texture come out, and in price.

  1. 1. Quality: Low, Medium or High, price in credits
  2. 2. World prop / Hero object: sets the triangle and texture budget
  3. 3. Low poly: optional, with a triangle budget
  • Low

    Credits:100
Good for:A quick preview of whether a photo works.
  • Medium

    Credits:1,500
Good for:Most props. Selected by default.
  • High

    Credits:3,000
Good for:Props seen up close, where fine shape and texture detail matter.

A build takes a few minutes. Low is fastest, High takes longest; the build page shows the usual time for the tier while it runs.

World prop or Hero object

The 3D Generator uses the usage to set how many triangles and how much texture the prop may use.

  • World prop: placed around the map, often many times. The model stays light for performance. The default.
  • Hero object: seen up close, such as an item in a player's hand or on a desk. Keeps more detail.

Low poly

Low poly rebuilds the model to a triangle budget you set, then bakes the detail into the texture. The shape stays the same with far fewer triangles, which helps with props that appear many times or only from a distance.

Switch it on under Usage and move the slider. It shows the allowed range and a recommended minimum; below that, the card warns but still lets you build. The Low poly texture goes up to 1024 pixels and never above your texture size setting.

Texture size

Texture size caps the largest edge of the prop's textures at 256, 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels. 512 is the default and fine for most world props. Larger textures look sharper up close but use more memory on every client.

You can change it after the build in the editor. That runs a free rebuild.

Packaging

Packaging decides how the files land in the stream folder of your resource.

  1. 1. Texture size: largest texture edge in pixels
  2. 2. Packaging: four files or one YDR
  3. 3. Create asset: starts the build and shows the price
  • Separate files

    Files:YDR, YTD, YBN, YTYP
When to use it:The default. Textures can be swapped in the YTD without touching the model.
  • Single YDR

    Files:YDR, YTYP
When to use it:Textures and collision inside the model, the way most stock GTA props ship.

Note

FiveM warns about streamed files over 16 MB. If a Single YDR would pass that mark, the build ships separate files instead and the result page says so.

Sharing with the community

Tick Share with the community when it is done and the finished prop appears in Community Assets, where other people can find it. You can also share or unshare later with Share on the result page. Nothing is shared unless you choose it.

Next: checking and fixing the model.
