Start
Your first animation
From an empty start card to a waving ped on your server: four poses, one export, and the command in chat.
Before you start
- A SwisserAI account with 400 credits for the export. Everything before the export is free.
- A computer with a mouse. You pose by dragging handles in a 3D view, which is made for a mouse, not a phone.
- Access to your FiveM server files and its
server.cfg.
The eight steps
We build a friendly wave, friendly_wave: the right hand goes up and swings out and in, three seconds, looping. It takes four poses.
- 1
Open the Animation Builder
In the sidebar, open Animations and pick Animation Builder.
- 1. Animation Builder: opens the builder
- 2
Name it and pick a length
The name becomes the chat command in game, so keep it short: lower case, digits and underscores. Pick 3s and press Start posing.
- 1. Name (in-game command): becomes the chat command and the clip name
- 2. 3s / 5s / 10s / 20s: the length to start with; you can change it later
- 3. Start posing: opens the editor on the first pose
- 3
Raise the right hand
The editor opens on pose 1. In the panel on the right, pick R hand. A move handle appears on the hand. Drag its green up arrow upwards until the hand is beside the head; the arm bends by itself.
- 1. Up arrow: drag it to move the hand up or down
- 2. Side arrow: moves the hand left or right
With R hand picked, dragging the green up arrow lifts the hand. The upper arm and forearm follow on their own, so one drag raises the whole arm for the wave. - 4
Lower the other arm and finish pose 1
The rest pose holds both arms out. Pick L hand and drag its up arrow down, so the left arm hangs at the side. Then press Done posing at the top.
- 5
Add three more poses
Click the timeline at 0.75 seconds, press Add pose, pick R hand and drag the red side arrow a little outwards. Press Done posing. Do the same at 1.5 seconds (hand back in) and at 2.25 seconds (out again). Each pose shows as a diamond under the timeline.
- 1. friendly_wave · 3.0s: the animation from start to end
- 2. Pose diamond: drag it to move the pose in time
- 3. Playhead: click or drag anywhere to scrub
- 6
Play it back
Press play in the toolbar or the space bar. Loop is on, so after the last pose the hand glides back to pose 1 and the wave repeats without a jump.
Play runs the four poses in order. The builder fills every frame between them, so the hand swings out, in and out again, and with Loop on the last pose glides back into the first. - 7
Export it
Press Export · 400 credits at the top right. The panel shows the command, the length, the number of poses and the price. Press Export for 400 credits.
- 1. Your FiveM resource: the command, length, poses and loop
- 2. Price: the price of the export
- 3. Export for 400 credits: starts the build
- 8
Download and play it in game
The export took 14 seconds here. Press Download resource (.zip).
- 1. Download resource (.zip): the FiveM resource
- 2. It's also saved in your animations: download it again later
Make a folder
friendly_wavein your server'sresources, unzip the download into it and add one line toserver.cfg:ensure friendly_waveRestart the whole server, not just the resource. In game, type the command in chat:
/friendly_wave
Good to know
Your poses are saved in the browser while you work. If you close the tab before exporting, the start card offers Resume building. See Undo and autosave.
