Using images in FiveM
Which shape and format to pick for the common jobs, and which SwisserAI tool takes the picture from there.
Settings for common jobs
Images makes plain picture files. These settings fit the jobs FiveM creators use them for most:
Texture (metal, wood, fabric)
Mode and quality:Generate, StandardShape:1:1Format:PNGLoading screen background
Mode and quality:Generate, Standard or PremiumShape:16:9Format:JPEG or WebPSign or banner with lettering
Mode and quality:Generate, PremiumShape:16:9 or 3:2Format:PNG or WebPLogo or decal
Mode and quality:Edit with Transparent backgroundShape:Keep originalFormat:PNGStore or Discord thumbnail
Mode and quality:Generate, StandardShape:1:1 or 16:9Format:WebP or JPEG
Good to know
Add "front on" and "seamless texture" to texture prompts, and "no text" to backgrounds that should stay free of lettering.
Textures for clothing, props and vehicles
A picture on its own does not change anything in the game. It gets there through the SwisserAI studios that paint on real game textures. Each of them takes an uploaded image as a layer:
- EUP Maker: logos, badges and patterns on uniforms and clothing. See Logos, badges and your own images.
- Prop Reskin: new textures on existing GTA props.
- Livery Studio: stickers and designs on vehicles.
- Tattoo Studio: a PNG with a transparent background turned into a tattoo or patch.
For logos and decals, cut the picture out first with Remove background, so only the logo lands on the fabric or paint.
From picture to 3D prop
Turn into a 3D prop under a result opens the 3D Generator with that picture as the photo. It builds a streamable FiveM prop from it. A single object on a plain background gives the cleanest model, so a cut-out picture is a good start.
Item icons
For inventory item icons, use the separate Inventory Icons tool under Images in the sidebar. It makes icons in one matching style for ox_inventory, qb and ESX and has a library of ready icons.
