EUP Merger
Merge clothing packs
Upload up to six clothing pack ZIPs, set their order and get one clothing resource. Collection names that clash are renamed for you, files and metas included.
Packs it takes
The EUP Merger works on uploaded ZIP files and needs no account. Signed in or not, you use the same page. It takes clothing packs of every common kind:
- Addon packs: new items in their own collection, with a YMT and a meta file per gender. Packs from the EUP Maker are addon packs.
- Replace packs: files that replace GTA clothing under the game's own names.
- EUP style packs built on the same naming.
- Texture add-ons without their own YMT, which add variants to a collection from another pack in the same merge.
- Bare stream folders: ZIPs with only the clothing files. A missing meta file is generated.
One ZIP per pack, up to 6 ZIPs of 48 MB each. RAR and 7z are not accepted. Only upload packs you have the rights to use.
The five steps
We merge the two packs made in the EUP Maker guide. Both were built under the name LSPD Patrol, so both use the collection lspd_patrol. One has a shirt with two textures and trousers, the other one shirt.
- 1
Get the pack ZIPs
Download each pack as a ZIP. For an EUP Maker pack, open it in My packs and press FiveM .zip; its page also links here with Merge packs. Give the files names you recognise, because the merger shows them in its report.
- 1. Merge packs: opens the EUP Merger
- 2
Drop the ZIPs and set the order
Open the EUP Merger and drop the ZIPs on Drop your clothing pack ZIPs here. The arrows set the priority. When two packs replace the same file, the pack further down wins. When two packs use the same collection name, the one further down is renamed.
- 1. Drop your clothing pack ZIPs here: up to 6 ZIPs, 48 MB each
- 2. Higher priority, Lower priority: order decides which file wins
- 3. Resource name: _clothing is added
- 4. Merge 2 packs
- 3
Name the resource
Type a short name into Resource name. The merger adds
_clothing, socitybecomescity_clothing. See the name rule. - 4
Merge
Press Merge 2 packs (the number follows your list). The page uploads the packs and merges them. Our two packs took 7 seconds.
- 5
Check the result and download
The result lists every collection in the new resource with the pack it came from. The second pack became
lspd_patrol2, marked renamed from lspd_patrol. Press Download resource.- 1. Download resource
- 2. renamed from lspd_patrol: the second pack got a new collection name
- 3. ensure city_clothing: the one line for server.cfg
Careful
Download before you leave or reload the page. EUP merges are not saved to your account, so the page is the only way to the file.
Then install it in place of the original packs.
When two packs use the same collection name
Every addon pack has a collection name, the dlcName. It is part of every file name and is written inside the YMT and meta file. Two collections with the same name cannot load side by side. When two packs in a merge define the same collection, the EUP Merger:
- keeps the name for the pack higher in the list;
- gives the later pack the next free name with a number, for example
lspd_patrol2; - renames that pack's files, and rewrites the name inside its YMT and meta file, then checks that the YMT still loads.
A pack that only adds textures to a collection, without a YMT of its own, is not renamed. Its files join the collection of the same name from the other pack.
Update references to a renamed collection
Outfit configs, job wardrobes and scripts that name a collection, for example with SetPedCollectionComponentVariation, must use the new name for a renamed pack. Collections that kept their name need no change.
Order and replace files
Replace packs change GTA clothing under the game's own file names. When two packs in a merge contain the same replace file, only one can win: the pack further down the list. The merger does not stop; it keeps that file and lists the others.
- The result shows the first overwritten files under Worth knowing.
merge_report.jsonin the download lists every overwritten file with the pack it kept and the pack it dropped.
Move the pack whose version you want to keep to the bottom of the list before you merge.
Drawable numbers and limits
The EUP Merger does not renumber anything. Each pack keeps its own collection and its own YMT inside the merged resource. It does not combine several YMTs into one.
- Menu numbers. The game still places addon items after the game's own ones when it loads, as it did with separate resources.
- Collection numbers stay the same, so outfits saved with collection natives keep working, except for a renamed collection.
- Game limits stay the same. Merging does not add room for more clothing and does not make the files smaller.
The result lists the slots per collection, for example jbib ×1. These are the game's slot names:
jbibTopsaccsUndershirtsupprArms and gloveslowrLegsfeetShoestaskBody armour and veststeefAccessories such as ties and chainsdeclDecals and badgesberdMaskshandBags and parachutes
The resource name
- The name is made lowercase; spaces and other characters become
_. - The first 20 characters are kept, then
_clothingis added. A name that already ends in_clothinggets no second one when it fits in 20 characters. - A name that does not start with a letter gets
pack_in front. Without a name the resource ismerged_clothing.
Short names avoid surprises: city gives city_clothing. The result shows the final name in its install line before you download.
