Result and install

Installing on your server

Replace many ensure lines with one: put the merged resource into resources, take the originals out of server.cfg and restart.

Install a Resource Merger resource

  1. 1

    Make the folder

In your server's resources directory, make a folder with the resource name, for example city_props. Extract the zip into it, so the folder holds fxmanifest.lua and stream directly.

On Windows, Extract All on city_props.zip suggests a folder named city_props, which is right. Check that you do not end up with the folder twice, one inside the other.

  2. 2

    Remove the original resources

Delete or comment out the ensure lines of every resource that went into the merge, and take their folders out of resources. See why this matters.

  3. 3

    Add one line

    # ensure drumkit
    # ensure water_well
    # ensure boombox
    # ensure workbench
    # ensure road_barrier
    # ensure garden_gate
    ensure city_props
  4. 4

    Restart the server

Restart the server and reconnect. Spawn a merged prop by its old name to check it, for example boombox.

Install an EUP Merger resource

  1. 1

    Copy the folder

Unzip the download. It holds one folder, city_clothing. Copy that folder into resources as it is.

  2. 2

    Remove the original packs

Remove the ensure lines of the clothing packs you merged, and their folders.

  3. 3

    Add one line

    ensure city_clothing
  4. 4

    Fully restart

Restart the whole server, then reconnect. Streamed clothing does not load with refresh or a resource restart.

The items are where they were before the merge: at the end of their slot in your clothing menu. For EUP Maker packs, see Find the items in your clothing menu.

Remove the original resources

A merged resource replaces the originals. Running both at once causes the problems merging was meant to avoid:

  • Props: the same files stream from two resources. Which one the game uses is not defined.
  • Clothing: every collection is registered twice, so every item appears twice in the menus.

Good to know

Keep the original downloads in a folder outside resources. You need them to merge again with a new pack.

The clothing streaming rule

FiveM streams custom clothing, merged or not, only when one of these is true for your server:

  • It has a Cfx Element Club Argentum key or higher.
  • sv_maxclients is 10 or less, as on a development or test server.

Otherwise the items never appear, with no error. This is a FiveM rule for every clothing resource; merging does not change it.

Scripts, ymaps and outfits

Nothing to change. Scripts spawn props by model name and ymaps place them by name. The merge keeps every name, so CreateObject calls, spawner menus and map placements work as before.

  • Spawn names, ymaps

    None
  • Emote menus, animation scripts

    None
  • Clothing collections that kept their name

    None
  • A renamed clothing collection

Use the new name, as shown on the result
  • server.cfg

One ensure line instead of the old ones
