Your first merged resource

Six props from your assets into one resource called city_props, with one ensure line. The merge itself took a few seconds.

Before you start

  • A SwisserAI account with at least two finished assets, for example props from the 3D Generator or GLB to FiveM.
  • No credits: merging is free.
  • Access to your FiveM server files and its server.cfg.

We merge six props of the docs account: four converted uploads, a generated road barrier and an animated gate. They become one resource called city_props.

The seven steps

  1. 1

    Open merge mode

In the sidebar open Assets, then My assets. In the toolbar, press Merge into one. The button is grey until you have two finished assets.

    1. 1. All, 3D models, Uploads: type filters with their counts
    2. 2. Merge into one: switches the list to merge mode

A green note at the top shows that merge mode is on. Rows that cannot join are dimmed and say why, for example the EUP packs, which belong in the EUP Merger:

    1. 1. Pick the assets to merge.: merge mode is on
    2. 2. Clothing: use the EUP Merger: why a row cannot join
  2. 2

    Pick the assets

Click each asset you want in the resource. A picked row gets a green check. We pick drumkit, water_well, boombox, workbench, the generated road_barrier and garden_gate further up.

    1. 1. drumkit: a picked row has a green check and outline
    2. 2. road_barrier (Rebuild): not picked: same file names as the other road_barrier

We leave the rebuilt road_barrier out: it streams files with the same names as the other one. Picking both stops the merge before it starts, see the file-name check.

  3. 3

    Name the resource

The merge bar at the bottom counts your picks. Type city_props into Resource name. The line below shows what goes into server.cfg later.

    1. 1. 6 of 20 selected
    2. 2. Resource name: the line under it shows the ensure line for server.cfg
    3. 3. Merge 6 assets: starts the merge, free
  4. 4

    Merge

Press Merge 6 assets. The page of the new merge opens and shows your assets flowing into one resource. This one took 5.6 seconds from the click to the finished resource.

  5. 5

    Check the merge report

When the merge is done, the Merge report shows how many sources and stream files went in. Click a row to see its files. The gate shows its four game files, and its client.lua and fxmanifest.lua as left out.

    1. 1. Sources, Stream files, Content
    2. 2. garden_gate: click a row to see its files
    3. 3. outside stream/: left out on purpose
  6. 6

    Download it

Press FiveM .zip at the top right to download city_props.zip (8.5 MB).

    1. 1. FiveM .zip: the merged resource
  7. 7

    Install it

The zip has no folder inside. In your server's resources folder, make a folder named city_props and extract the zip into it. In server.cfg, remove the lines of the six original resources and add one:

    ensure city_props

Restart the server. Every prop spawns with the same name as before, for example:

    local model = `boombox`
    RequestModel(model)
while not HasModelLoaded(model) do Wait(0) end
    local p = GetEntityCoords(PlayerPedId())
    CreateObject(model, p.x + 1.0, p.y, p.z, true, true, false)

Good to know

This merge cost 0 credits. To add a prop later, merge the original assets again together with the new one; a merged resource cannot be merged a second time.
