Prop Reskin

Give an existing GTA prop new textures in your browser and download it as a new prop with its own spawn name.

What Prop Reskin does

Prop Reskin changes the textures of a prop that already exists: a sign, a crate, a barrier, a vending machine. You upload the prop's .ydr file to the Reskin Studio, change its textures while a 3D preview follows every edit, and download a FiveM resource with the result.

The road barrier from the quick start, rendered from the downloaded files: the original on the left, the new prop barrier_blue on the right, recoloured with one slider.

The result is a new prop with its own spawn name. The original stays in the game unchanged, so both exist side by side and no other resource that uses the original is affected. The shape of the model stays the same; only its textures change.

  • Recolours of a prop for a job, a gang or a season.
  • Your own artwork on signs, posters, boxes and boards.
  • Variant packs: up to 10 skins of one prop in one resource, each with its own spawn name.

Four ways to change a texture

Every texture of the prop can be changed on its own, in whichever way suits it:

  • Edit it in the studio

What you do:Recolour it, paint on it, add text or a logo.
Good for:Colour changes and simple artwork.
  • Replace it

What you do:Upload your own PNG, JPG or WebP.
    Good for:Finished artwork made elsewhere.
  • AI Design

What you do:Describe a look and pick one of two takes.
Good for:A new style when you have no artwork.
  • Download and edit

What you do:Save the texture as PNG, edit it in your own program, replace it again.
Good for:Detailed work in the tools you know.

What you download

Every build gives you one zip with the files of a FiveM resource:

  • fxmanifest.lua

The manifest. It streams the files and registers the .ytyp, so there is nothing to add.
  • stream/<name>.ydr

The prop under its new name, with your textures inside. A variant pack has one per skin.
  • stream/<name>.ytyp

Registers the spawn names with the game.

The files sit at the top level of the zip, not in a folder. Installing on your server shows where they go.

What it costs

You pay in credits when you create the prop. Reading a prop, editing and previewing are free.

  • One reskin, any number of changed textures

    40
  • Each extra skin in a variant pack

    +15
  • A pack of 3 skins / 10 skins

    70 / 175
  • One AI Design generation (2 takes)

    250
  • No subscription is needed; any credits work.
  • A build that fails costs nothing. AI Design is charged per generation, also when a take turns out badly.
  • The studio always shows the price of your build next to Create reskin.
