AI Design

Describe a new look and the AI repaints the open texture. You get two takes per generation and pick one on the 3D preview.

Generating a design

AI Design sits at the top of the right panel of the Reskin Studio. It repaints the texture that is open in the editor, named under the title: Restyles texture_diffuse. Describe the look, or click one of the idea chips, and press Generate 2 designs.

Our two generations took 22 and 20 seconds; the button says Generating… ~15s while it works. The designs come back at the size of the texture.

Picking a take

Each generation returns 2 takes. Design 1 goes on the texture and the 3D preview right away. Click Design 2 to see the other one on the model, and back again to compare.

The take you pick becomes the texture, like an image from Replace. The row in the list says replaced.
You can keep editing it: text, logos or a Hue change on top.
The takes belong to the texture they were made for. Switching textures hides them.

Prompts and reference images

AI Design restyles the texture the prop already has. Parts stay where they were: on the barrier, the stripes stayed stripes and the lamps stayed lamps. Describe materials, colours and a mood. The idea chips fill in these prompts, which you can change before you generate:

Reference image (optional) adds a PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB whose style the AI should follow. Only use images you have the rights to.

Good to know

Simple props with clean texture layouts restyle best. On textures cut into many small pieces, like the barrier, a take can miss a few pieces. Look at both takes on the model, then fix details in the editor.

Cost and limits

Each generation costs 250 credits for both takes. The button shows the current price.
Credits are not returned for a take that turns out badly; the panel says so under the button.
A prompt can be up to 400 characters. Without a prompt the button stays grey.
With a balance below the price the button is locked and the panel links to Get credits.
AI Design needs the full resolution texture. On a texture marked thumbnail only it cannot run.
