MC patches and badges

Biker patches, crew emblems and badges are patches: they sit on the torso layer the game uses for emblems, not on the skin.

Tattoo or patch

The game has two kinds of body decoration, and the Tattoo Studio builds both. A tattoo is drawn on the skin. A patch (badge) goes on the torso badge layer, which the game uses for crew emblems and prints.

Making a patch

A patch is an entry like any other, with a different Kind:

Keep Body zone on Torso. On any other zone the patch option is greyed out, and changing the zone turns a patch back into a tattoo.
Set Kind to Patch / badge (torso).
Place it with a torso spot. Back, upper is where a club back patch sits; Torso patch (badge) and Rank badge (chest) are the badge spots the game uses on the chest.

Kind set to Patch / badge (torso) for the eagle; the option is only offered while the body zone is Torso.

Designing the patch

Upload your own patch, or let the AI draw it. With Kind set to patch, the idea chips change to patch ideas and the AI draws stitched, embroidered artwork:

A stitched border and a few thread colours read well at patch size.
Club names: the AI often misspells lettering. Draw the patch without text, then add the name with the editor's Text tool; see Adding text.
Use your own club artwork only. Real brand logos and other clubs' colours are not yours to use.

Patches in game

Not verified in game yet

Patches are built as badge decorations on the torso, like the game's own crew emblems. We have not verified yet how they look over every jacket, vest or cut. Test the patch with the clothing your players wear before you rely on it.

If a patch does not show over a piece of clothing, try it as a tattoo on the same spot, which shows on bare skin only. The install and the scripts are the same for both kinds; see Installing on your server.
