Interior Builder

Plan rooms in your browser, furnish them with real GTA props and build a walk-in interior for your FiveM server.

What the Interior Builder makes

The Interior Builder is a room planner for FiveM in your browser. You draw rooms on a 0.5 m grid, furnish them with real GTA V props, walk through them at eye height, and build the result into a resource for your server.

A render of the Corner Cafe from the quick start, made by the build itself: two rooms, furnished by hand in the builder.
  • Rooms and doors: up to 24 rooms on up to 6 floors, with doors between them and to the outside.
  • Surfaces: a floor, wall and ceiling material and colour for every room.
  • Props: 2,952 GTA props to place by hand, or AI Furnish to fill the rooms from a description.
  • A place in the world: a free spot high above the ocean, or your own coordinates.

A shell, not an MLO

A build is a shell interior: the walls, floors and ceilings are one model that streams at its own coordinates, with your props placed inside. Housing scripts use the same kind of interior. It is not an MLO with portals and rooms that the game treats as an interior.

  • Where it sits

Interior Builder shell:Anywhere you choose, usually away from the map
Hand-made MLO:Usually inside a building of the map
  • Other map mods

Interior Builder shell:Replaces nothing, cannot clash with them
Hand-made MLO:Can clash with other MLOs at the same place
  • Getting in

Interior Builder shell:A teleport command, or your housing script
Hand-made MLO:Walk in through the door of the building
  • Portals, interior sound zones

    Interior Builder shell:No
    Hand-made MLO:Yes

Note

If you need a real MLO inside an existing building, the Interior Builder is not the right tool. For player housing, shops, offices and hideouts you reach by teleport or a housing script, a shell is what you want.

What you download

Every build gives you one zip with a single resource folder in it:

  • fxmanifest.lua

The manifest. It streams the files and loads the map data, so there is nothing to add.
  • client.lua

The teleport commands, for example /mlocornercafe. Optional: your own housing script can replace it.
  • README.txt

The install steps, the commands and where the interior sits.
  • stream/

The shell model with its textures, and the map files that place the shell and your props.

The props are GTA props every player already has, so they are not copied into the zip. The build page also shows three renders of the interior. See inside the zip.
