Troubleshooting
Most problems are a plan the build cannot use, a spot read in the air, or a resource that was not started. Start at the top.
I cannot see Build interior
Build interior sits near the right end of the builder toolbar. The whole toolbar needs a window about 1,650 px wide. In our checks the button was cut off in windows 1440 and 1366 px wide and visible from 1536 px.
- Press Fullscreen in the toolbar, or F, so the builder uses the whole screen.
- Make the browser window wider, or zoom the page out (Ctrl and minus).
- Signed out, the button reads Sign up to build: building needs an account.
The build is blocked
The Build dialog does not start a build while something is missing. It says what:
- Fix these before building: with a list: the plan has a problem, for example a floor without stairs. See plan problems.
You need 1000 credits (you have 400)., with your own numbers: your balance is lower than the price. Get credits opens the plans.- A red note under X, Y and Z: the coordinates are outside the limits. See custom coordinates.
Price changed. Check the badge and try again.A discount started or ended while the dialog was open. Check the price and press build again. The free build is no longer available. The button now shows the regular price. The free first build was already used on this account. The next click builds at the shown price.Save your design before building (room count changed): the saved design lags behind. Press Save and build again.
The build failed
A failed build costs nothing; the credits held for it are released. The dialog says Build failed with the reason, and the build page shows it too. Press Try again to go back to the Build dialog.
- The floor plan cannot be built. The message names the problem, for example a floor that cannot be reached. Fix the plan and build again. Since 10 September 2026 the builder catches these before the build starts.
- The internal quality check rejected the generated interior, followed by what it found. Until 10 September 2026 this hit plans with an odd number of grid cells in width or depth; it was fixed that day. If you see it now, report it with your design name.
- A step of the build failed or timed out. Try again. If it keeps failing, report it from the build page with your design name.
The interior hangs in the air
The Z of custom coordinates is the height of the floor. When it was read while flying in noclip, the interior is built at that height, often far above the ground. In one support case the Z was 272.2 where the ground was at about 116.
- Stand on the ground at the spot and read the position again, for example with
/pos. - On the build page press Move interior, enter the new numbers and confirm. Moving is free, up to 10 times a day.
- Download the zip again and replace the folder on your server.
An interior below the ground has the same cause the other way round: move it up the same way.
The interior does not show up in game
- Folder. The zip holds the resource folder.
fxmanifest.luamust sit directly inresources/mlo_corner_cafe, not one level deeper. - server.cfg. The
ensureline must match the folder name exactly, for exampleensure mlo_corner_cafe. - Restart. Restart the server and reconnect after installing. The README asks for a full start of the resource, because the map files load when it starts.
- Command. Use the command from the build page, for example
/mlocornercafe. It is the resource name without underscores. - Two with one name. Two builds of designs with the same name have the same folder. Rename one design and build it again.
- Moved or rebuilt. After a move or a rebuild, replace the old folder with the new download; do not run both.
- Falling through the floor. The command waits up to five seconds for the floor to load. Try the command once more; on a slow connection the shell can take longer to stream in.
A small item will not go on a table
When you point at the top of a table, desk or counter with a small prop picked, the ghost sits on top and turns green, but the click does nothing. The click lands on the furniture instead of the floor below it.
- Point at the front edge of the furniture in the 3D view, the side facing the camera, and click there. The item lands on the top.
- Only small props stack: up to 1 m by 1 m and 0.75 m tall. See stacking small items.
Still stuck
Use Report a problem at the bottom right of the build page, so we see the build you mean, or ask in the SwisserAI Discord. Give the design name and what you see.
