AI design

Describe a look in one sentence and the AI paints the whole car layout. You keep editing on top of it.

Generating a design

AI design paints the whole layout of the car that is open in the Livery Studio editor. Press AI design in the header, describe the look and press Generate. The idea chips fill in a tested prompt you can change first.

  1. 1. Prompt: colours, materials, patterns
  2. 2. Idea chips: Camo, Carbon, Marble, Two-tone, Flake, Racing
  3. 3. Generate: shows the price

After a few seconds the design is on the texture and on the car. In our run it took 9 seconds; the button says Generating… ~4s while it works.

After Generate the panel shows a spinner for a few seconds. Then a blue and orange racing design fills the texture and the 3D preview of the Dinka Jester RR picks it up.
  1. 1. Template: the AI design becomes the base layer
  2. 2. Live preview: the design on the car

Prompts that work

AI design is best at colours, materials and patterns. Those look right wherever the panels meet. Say them plainly in one sentence, like the idea chips do:

  • Camo

a matte black and grey geometric camouflage pattern covering the whole body
  • Carbon

a dark carbon fibre weave with a subtle gloss sheen
  • Marble

a white and gold marble finish with fine veining
  • Two-tone

a deep burgundy and matte black two-tone split along the body line
  • Flake

a midnight blue metallic flake paint with a violet pearl shift
  • Racing

a bold racing livery in blue and orange with diagonal speed stripes

Stripes and long graphics

The AI paints each panel of the flat layout on its own. Stripes and long graphics therefore do not meet exactly where the door joins the rear quarter. Treat them as a starting point and tidy the seams with the Brush or Shape tool before you build.

The AI does not write readable text and does not copy brand designs. Add numbers, lettering and logos afterwards with the Text tool and Add an image. It also cannot take a picture of yours as a reference.

Refining the result

  • The AI design becomes the Template layer at the bottom. Your text, images and paint stay on top of it.
  • Not happy? Generate again with the same or a changed prompt; the new design replaces the Template.
  • Undo with Ctrl+Z, or recolour the whole design with Hue on the Template layer.
  • An AI design covers the whole body, so the paint a player picks in game does not show through it. Erase parts of it where the paint should show.
  • The design is only in game once you build. Next: Building and downloading.

Cost and limits

Each generation costs 100 credits, on top of the pack price; the Generate button shows the current price. When your balance is too low the button locks and the panel shows your balance with a link to get credits. A prompt can be up to 400 characters.
