Always-on wrap and livery slots

The wrap is what the car wears while no sticker is selected. On the Police Cruiser and the Taxi you paint their classic livery slots instead.

The always-on wrap

Every tuner car has a transparent base livery under its stickers. An Always-on wrap replaces that base: the car wears your design whenever no sticker is selected, for every player, without any menu.

  • It is not listed in tuning menus. Looking for it in the sticker list finds nothing.
  • Any stock sticker a player picks covers it. Removing the sticker shows the wrap again.
  • It touches no tuning data and never clashes with other resources.

It fits when your server already runs its own tuning pack for the car, or when every car of that model should carry the design by default. The editor opens straight after Choose this, without a Delivery bar.

With the Brush tool, two long strokes are painted across the flat texture. A moment after each stroke the same line appears on the car in the 3D preview.

The size meter

A wrap ships the car's whole texture dictionary, so the header shows an estimate of the finished .ytd, for example ~1.0 MB on the Pfister Comet S2. FiveM warns above 16 MB per file; the meter turns red with over 16 MB when you get there.

  1. 1. ~ MB: estimated size of the finished .ytd, FiveM warns above 16 MB

Police Cruiser and Taxi

The Police Cruiser (police) and the Taxi (taxi) have no sticker list. Their liveries are classic livery slots, which trainers and vehicle menus switch between. The studio skips the mode step and opens them in the editor with a Livery slot bar.

  1. 1. Livery 1 ... Livery 6: each replaces one stock livery
  2. 2. Add livery: an extra livery, stock ones stay
  • The Police Cruiser has 6 slots, Livery 1 to Livery 6, and carries Decal zones: the design lands on the marked zones, not the whole body.
  • The Taxi has one slot, Livery 1, covering the body.
  • A slot opens with its stock design as the base picture, so you can edit it or paint over it. Painting a slot replaces that stock livery.

Adding extra liveries

Add livery in the slot bar adds a design as an extra livery, New 1, New 2 and so on. The stock liveries stay, and yours are numbered after them. It starts on an empty canvas with the UV guide.

  1. 1. New 1: the added livery
  2. 2. px · more fit: size per design in this pack

All liveries of the car share one file, and FiveM warns above 16 MB. The more designs you add, the smaller each one is stored. A hint next to the tabs shows the size per design and how many more fit, and a pack holds at most 12 liveries in total, stock slots included.

A Police Cruiser or Taxi pack costs 40 credits, however many slots you paint.
