Vehicles and modes

The studio has 19 GTA V vehicles. Most of them offer three modes, and the mode decides where your design shows up in game.

The 19 vehicles

The Livery Studio works on a fixed library of GTA V vehicles. Each one was prepared so the studio knows its livery layout and its stock stickers. You cannot upload your own car model.

The 17 tuner cars get the choice of three modes. The Police Cruiser and the Taxi use classic livery slots and open straight in the editor, see Police Cruiser and Taxi.

The gallery shows each vehicle as a render on a checkerboard. The card tells you three things:

  • Spawn name, the name you spawn the car with in game and the name its files use.
  • Stickers or slots: how many stock stickers the tuning menu lists for this car, or how many livery slots it has.
  • Decal zones on the Police Cruiser: only its marked zones, such as roof and doors, take a design, not the whole body.

Choosing a mode

After you click a tuner car, the studio asks Where should your design show up? Each card lists what the mode does in game and ends with a line on which server it fits.

  1. 1. Replace a sticker: takes over one stock sticker
  2. 2. Add a new sticker: adds new entries, keeps all stock ones
  3. 3. Always-on wrap: the car's look when no sticker is selected

You can come back and change the mode before you build: Change in the editor's Delivery bar returns to this step, and what you painted comes along.

Note

All three modes paint the same livery layer of the car, so a design you made for one mode fits the others unchanged.
