Troubleshooting

Most livery problems come from the mode: looking for a wrap in the menu, or two packs fighting over one car. Start at the top.

The livery does not show up

When a Livery Studio pack is installed but the car looks unchanged, go through these in order:

  • server.cfg. The ensure line must match the folder name exactly, for example ensure jester4_liveries.
  • Folder. fxmanifest.lua must sit directly in that folder inside resources, not one folder deeper.
  • Restart and respawn. Restart the server, reconnect and spawn a fresh car. A car spawned before the restart keeps its old files.
  • The right place. Sticker modes show up on the stickers page of a tuning menu, an Always-on wrap only while no sticker is selected. See the next section.
  • The right car. The pack works on the vanilla vehicle it was made for, such as jester4. A modded replacement of that car with its own files does not use it.

My wrap is not in the tuning menu

This is expected. An Always-on wrap is the car's look while no sticker is selected and never appears as a menu entry. Menus and scripts that count liveries report none for it, and cycling through the stickers covers it.

  • Remove the sticker in your tuning menu, or in code with RemoveVehicleMod(vehicle, 48).
  • Want a menu entry? Build the same design as Replace a sticker or Add a new sticker. See the modes side by side.

The sticker still shows the old design

  • Car spawned earlier. Cars that existed before the resource started keep their current sticker. Select the sticker again or respawn the car.
  • Other players. Players who were online during the install keep the old files until they reconnect.
  • Wrong sticker. Check the sticker number on the result page or in the README. The menu counts from 1, SetVehicleMod from 0.

Added stickers are missing

Add a new sticker packs declare the car's tuning kit. When another resource declares it too, whichever loads last wins and the new stickers of the other disappear.

  • Keep one add-on livery pack per car. For more designs, order again in the studio: it rebuilds your pack with the earlier designs included.
  • Remove other tuning or livery resources for the same car, or use Replace a sticker for that car instead.
  • Add-on packs built before 1 September 2026 did not register their stickers in game. Download the pack again from its page; affected packs were rebuilt.

Blurry, mirrored or misplaced design

  • Blurry text or logos. Fine lines and small text lose detail at game resolution. Use bold fonts, larger numbers and logo images at least as large as they appear on the texture.
  • Upside down or mirrored on one side. The two sides of a car can sit differently on the texture. Place text on each side separately and turn the 3D preview to check both before you build.
  • Stripes do not line up. Long graphics break where panels meet, especially from AI design. Tidy the seams with the Brush or Shape tool. See prompts that work.
  • Only parts of the police car change. The Police Cruiser takes designs on its decal zones only, not the whole body.
  • Smeared or shifted colours on an older pack. Some packs built in late August 2026 can show this. Report it from the pack page so it can be rebuilt.

The build does not start

  • Not enough credits. A pack needs 40 or 100 credits depending on the mode. With less, the build stops with a message like Insufficient credits: available=25, required=40 and nothing is charged.
  • Nothing painted. Paint at least one design first means every design tab is still empty.
  • Template or guide does not load. Could not load the livery template or Could not load the UV guide: go back to the vehicles and open the car again.
  • A build failed. A failed build is not charged. Start it again from the studio.

Still stuck

Use Report a problem at the bottom right of the pack page, so we see the pack you mean, or ask in the SwisserAI Discord. Mention the car, the mode and what you see in game.
