Build and install
Installing on your server
Copy the folder into resources, add one line to server.cfg and restart. Then pick the sticker in any tuning menu.
Install the resource
- 1
Unzip the download
The zip holds one folder named after the resource, for example
jester4_liveries. - 2
Copy it into resources
Put the whole folder into your server's
resourcesdirectory.fxmanifest.luamust sit directly in it. Keep the folder name as it is. - 3
Add it to server.cfg
Add one line with the folder name:
ensure jester4_liveries - 4
Restart and respawn
Restart the server and reconnect. Spawn a fresh car: cars that existed before keep their old files and their current sticker.
The manifest is short. For a Replace a sticker pack it only streams the sticker model:
fx_version 'cerulean'
game 'gta5'
description 'jester4_liveries - Generated by SwisserAI'
files {
'stream/**/*.yft',
}An Add a new sticker pack also registers its tuning data:
files {
'stream/**/*.yft',
'data/carcols.meta',
'data/carvariations.meta',
}
data_file 'CARCOLS_FILE' 'data/carcols.meta'
data_file 'VEHICLE_VARIATION_FILE' 'data/carvariations.meta'Select the livery in game
Where the design shows up depends on the mode you built:
Open any tuning menu, go to the stickers (livery) page and pick the sticker you replaced, for example sticker 1. The stock design there is now yours.
Open the stickers page of any tuning menu. Your designs follow the stock ones: on a car with 15 stock stickers the first design is sticker 16.
Spawn the car and make sure no sticker is selected. A freshly spawned car is in that state. The wrap has no menu entry.
Pick the livery in any trainer or vehicle menu that switches liveries. Added liveries follow the stock ones: on the Police Cruiser the first added one is the 7th livery.
Good to know
The result page and README.md name the exact sticker or livery number of every design in your pack.
Set it from a script
Stickers are mod slot 48. Set the mod kit first, then the sticker. The index counts from 0, so it is one below the number in the menu:
SetVehicleModKit(vehicle, 0)
SetVehicleMod(vehicle, 48, 0, false)SetVehicleModKit(vehicle, 0)
SetVehicleMod(vehicle, 48, 15, false)Use this in a job garage, a spawn script or a command to give a car your livery on spawn.
Wraps and police or taxi liveries
An Always-on wrap needs no call; it shows as long as no sticker is set. To clear a sticker so the wrap shows:
SetVehicleModKit(vehicle, 0)
RemoveVehicleMod(vehicle, 48)SetVehicleLivery has no effect on the tuner cars. It is the call for the Police Cruiser and the Taxi, again counting from 0. The first livery added to the Police Cruiser is index 6:
SetVehicleLivery(vehicle, 6)ESX, QBCore and garages
A livery pack is plain game files and does not depend on a framework. It works the same on ESX, QBCore, Qbox and standalone servers. Garages that save a car's tuning store your sticker the same way as a stock one, because it is the same mod slot.
- For sticker modes, pick the livery in your tuning script (for example a mechanic job menu) as you would any stock one.
- Keep one Add a new sticker pack per car, and no other resource with its own
carcols.metafor that car. See one add-on pack per car.
